Amber and Cole’s story began in the mountains. Fitting for two people who would grow up chasing adventure together.

They first met at Killington Mountain School, where early mornings, long ski days, and shared determination brought them into each other’s lives. What started as a simple friendship quickly grew into something meaningful. They laughed, learned, and skied together for a few years. But life had its own plans, and Amber eventually left to attend another academy, sending them on separate paths.

For a while, they lived their own lives, growing in different places, collecting experiences, and becoming who they were meant to be. But some connections don’t fade.

A few years later, fate brought them back together in college. From the very first day, it was as if no time had passed at all. That same connection was still there, only stronger. From that moment on, they were inseparable.

Their days quickly filled with everything they loved most. Skiing deep, fresh powder, chasing sunsets on off-road trails, hiking new paths, and camping under open skies. Every adventure became a memory, and every memory brought them closer. Together, they built a life rooted in laughter, excitement, and a shared love for the outdoors.

For the past three years in Utah, their story has continued to grow in the best ways. Whether it’s cheering side by side at Jazz games, testing their aim at the gun range, laughing through games at Dave & Buster’s, or enjoying a night at the movies, they’ve found joy in both the big adventures and the simple moments.

Through it all, one thing has remained constant—they choose each other, every single day.

What started as a friendship in the mountains has turned into a love story built on time, distance, reunion, and a lifetime of shared passions. Now, as they step into this next chapter, they do so hand in hand, ready for all the adventures still to come.

The Proposal

During Christmas, while Amber was in Lake Tahoe with her family, Cole secretly made a plan. Without telling her, he booked a flight and made his way out there, carrying one very important thing with him! A ring and a heart full of excitement.

Amber had no idea!

One evening, her family suggested they all head down to the beach to take some pictures by the water. It felt like a normal, beautiful holiday moment. It was snowing lightly, the lake stretched endlessly, and the mountains stood quietly in the background.

But as Amber walked down toward the beach, something unexpected caught her eye.

In that moment, everything else faded. The surprise, the distance he traveled, the effort he put in it all hit at once. Before she could even process it, he was standing in front of her, smiling, holding the ring he had brought all that way.

Cole got down on one knee, right there by the water, with her family watching from a distance, sharing in the moment they helped make possible. And of course, she said yes.

What started as a simple family photo on the beach turned into one of the most unforgettable moments of Amber and Cole's lives, and the beginning of forever.
